Sundawgs

The band was officially established in the summer of 2016, a project I personally spearheaded. My musical collaboration with Gary Thornton, our esteemed guitarist, extends back to the early 1990s, where we shared stages in various ensembles. It is a distinct pleasure to finally unite our creative energies within The Sundawgs.

The foundational rhythm section was solidified with the permanent inclusion of Terry Dubas on drums. Terry, a long-time friend and a former bandmate from a previous original rock venture, seamlessly transitioned into this role after admirably filling in during a period of transition, demonstrating his invaluable dedication and skill.

We are particularly enthusiastic about the forthcoming addition to our lineup: Lori Carpenter, who is anticipated to formally join the band as our lead vocalist in October 2025.

The collective synergy promises a truly exceptional sound. Lori's powerful vocal delivery, expertly complemented by Terry's and Glenn’s precision timing and driving backbeat grooves, along with Gary Thornton's renowned talent for faithfully reproducing iconic rock and roll guitar work, positions The Sundawgs to deliver an unparalleled and dynamic musical experience.
